          	hi loves!! just wanted to give everyone a heads up that i’m going to be taking you’re on your own, kid down temporarily and reuploading it this weekend!
          	
          	i’ve been wanting to go back through the story for a while now because there are a few things i want to change, clean up, and develop a little more. i also have more content i want to add that i think will make the story, characters, and certain relationships feel a lot more complete.

why i unpublished ‘the strangest thing’:
          
          1.) i want to rewrite the entire thing. valerie will be older and her childhood will be more like flashbacks rather than full fledged chapters.
          
          2.) i wanted to change a few things and thought it would make more sense to completely rewrite it rather than going in and editing it.

my goal for 2026 is to have at least one chapter of each of my fanfictions published. 
          
          i have multiple drafts that i have worked on for YEARS, but never had the motivation to actually publish them. i started one of my fanfics literally a decade ago and now that i’m going back and fixing my preteen self’s writing, it is very humbling to see what i thought was ‘good’.
