hmm.... kinda like your TRICKSTER Kankri story. but here's what I'm thinking. Dave and John go to school, school is fine as usual. after that they go to an amusement park,  they ride rides, play games, etc. Dave sees a weird looking lollipop and secretly gets it without John noticing. when Dave gets home and decides to see what it tastes like or some shit. I think you can take it from there. (its kinda like your Kankri  story if I really think about it ;P)
