// the vessel he took was a young man who thought he had nothing else to live for, but hanniel promised him safety and contentment in exchange for giving him a corporeal form to hide out in, so the man agreed, in order to help him. this worked out alright for a while— that is, until hanniel’s siblings found him. he was taken prisoner, held by chains covered in wards that disabled his powers. his wings were doused in holy oil, making him unable to fly and causing him immense pain. there he was kept for an amount of time he couldn’t even keep track of, being tortured endlessly. the spirit of the man whose body he’d taken was killed eventually, and it was all hanniel could do to ensure he would make it to heaven. finally, around 2018, he managed to escape, and is now living in modern times among modern people with modern technology, trying to adjust and stay alive.

// hanniel was one of the youngest angels in heaven when it all began. he was still just a fledgling when lucifer began asking questions, and that got hanniel asking questions too. hanniel was created with what some viewed as a curse— he felt emotions, like lucifer did. his brother protected him from his older siblings, and hanniel felt indebted to him— but when lucifer fell, the young angel was too afraid to speak up, and so he was forgotten, left in the shadows. with no lucifer to protect him, though, the other angels’ bullying got worse and worse. finally, after millennia of torture, god left, providing hanniel the window he needed to escape to earth and go into hiding there.

            Ambrose’s words made Dean’s eyes widen a little, upon the realization that everyone would be seeing him in this. But he knew the fairy was so excited, and he’d hate to crush his heart… goddamnit, was he going soft? “Yeah, I was plannin’ on it,” he responded. He picked up his phone and looked at himself in the camera, and… hey, that wasn’t bad. He did kind of like it. It was different, but not bad different. 

       "         more    than    welcome.         i    think    everyone    will    think    it    looks    lovely    on    you...         perhaps    i    should    go    with    a    darker    flower    next    time    though.         hm.         "         wings    relaxed    themselves    as    he    thought    a    bit    on    it,         fluttering    a    bit    in    the    process    while    face    contorted    to    match    his    thought    process    though    he    was    soon    waving    it    off.         "         will    you    be    wearing    it    all    day?         "

            Dean heaved a silent sigh, but was unable to restrain a tiny smile at the sight of Ambrose’s bright grin. “Yep. I, uh… yeah. Thanks.” He reached up and gently adjusted it, feeling the soft interwoven stems and leaves between his fingers and thinking maybe it wasn’t so awful. It made Ambrose happy, anyway, and the fairy’s emotions were more than contagious.
