(  a dry chuckle left her lips.   sure, she did not  / plan /  on it, but that was not entirely up to her or her own projects.   but viktor and jayce hadn’t had one in quite a long time, either, and she expected it would remain so.  )   and if you had something nice—  i could do with that, too.  would be great to gain some semblance of fashion back.   (   sky had worn a lab coat and uniform for the better part of the last recent years, that the sight of such diverse clothing had become nearly foreign.   a small sense of nostalgia remained, of many years behind when she’d walk the streets to see all sorts of eccentric shapes and fabrics.  )

he waved her off  ,  a friendly smile forming on his lips. "most people aren't   ,  you're not alone." he tilted his head a bit as he stared at her  ,  hand resting under his chin in a thinking manner. "while I don't have the most high quality material in terms of resistance  —  I do have a few options I think would suit you. comfortable but tough enough to withstand a decent amount of force. on top of that  ,  they look much better than what you'd find elsewhere." he gave a wink as his grin grew.

(  she hummed.   of course, she already had a few people in mind to ask.  healers her parents would bring her to when she was a child;  she’d have to inquire if they still made a living of it…  if they still  / lived /, in some cases.  )   well, maybe you could come?  uh, if you want—  if you have time, too.  i know you’re busy.   (  she would appreciate his company, that was a given, in both personal and academic regards.   but not just that, it could be beneficial, to approach this ‘ friend ’ he mentioned if she was accompanied by someone the person already knew.  )

(  it was flattering to see viktor find interest in her idea.  and so early on, too.  she didn’t plan to show it until it was a little more advanced.  or  / a lot /  more.  ‘ inspired ’,  he said.  and he was not one to throw those words around!  )   i planned to, yes.  this weekend, in fact—  jayce had mentioned he was visiting his mother, i thought maybe it was a good time.

[  viktor’s gaze shifts up to her.  he looks a little surprised by the recognition, though he clearly thrives under it.  a wry smile tugs at the corners of his mouth.  ]      you know me well .   if there are critiques to be made ,  i will pinpoint them ,  yes .   do not tell jayce ;  he will get in his head ,  and then there will be much MORE to correct .   but i have faith that you have prepared him well .   you always do .

@heraldedtech ┆ ✧   (  she can’t help a small chuckle.  almost imperceptible, but there nonetheless.   sky is well aware of how jayce’s time at the lab has decreased.   and viktor’s critiques in retaliation.   she also knows jayce’s reasoning nearly by heart.   how these connections and acceptance are vital for hextech.  she felt as though she was up in a tower, seeing it all unfold, and yet it was not in her cards to intervene.  )  i think you’re very recognisable, viktor.  in your own right.  (  comparable to jayce?   naturally not, but why compare a sunset to a gemstone when both were inarguably striking?   )  but i understand.  i suppose you’ll give us your notes once he gets off that stage. 

[  he gives a dry huff in answer.  he has never envied the city’s fascination with jayce, though he’s all to familiar with the litany of distractions such attention provides.  the hours jayce spends with political figures have begun to outweigh the hours he spends in the lab, and viktor has made his displeasure known.  it is a waste of time.  he wants no part of the political spotlight.  ]
