I am an adventurer at heart, solo hiker and back country camper. I have seen many wondrous things within nature. And I must admit that my heart has been captured--no stolen without resistance by Ontario's North.

I am a female writer and sixty years young  (at time of  this writing). A mother and grandmother. I have experienced many wondrous things on this, my journey through life. 

I have experienced homelessness... a test of faith and endurance I can assure you. I now understand the value of newspaper for insulation! I have also experienced the stigma that  is attached to the 'homeless'. And during that dark time I have experienced and welcomed the kindness of strangers. And with their help I have found my way back.

I have lived on the East and West coast of Canada. I have experienced on the East and West Coast an entire way of life die because of the closure of the cod fishery.

 I prefer to live free and not be dictated by society. 

I write to create an escape. A  reprieve... I write simply for you.

My works of fiction and nonfiction are an eclectic mix of genre. 

My published short stories (fiction and non-fiction) have appeared in British Columbia, Newfoundland and Ontario newspapers and magazines as well as the radio.

I write because I must.
