@Purpleguy55 To be perfectly honest, I am not the person to come to for advice for these sorts of things as it's something I've never dealt with in any capacity. The only thing I can say is be the best friend you can. Be there for them in whatever way you can and try to encourage them to get help, or at least talk to someone about what it is in life that's causing these thoughts. If it's a matter of clinical depression, this person needs to see a mental health professional. Whatever the case, let them know that getting help/addressing the issues that are causing suicidal ideation will lead to them feeling better and a better quality of life. It won't be easy, but it'll be worth it. I hope what I've said something to at least make you feel better.
