does anyone here have any laptop recommendations? my laptop has decided to die after only five years (the touchpad has stopped working and can’t be replaced, the back is completely held together by stickers, my f, r, g, and m keys don’t work, it will stay connected to the wifi for a max of 90 minutes, and it freezes up regularly and no matter what i do it won’t unfreeze) and i’ve taken it to get serviced multiple times and it’s just dying. if anyone has one of those fancy macbook laptops can you let me know about it? they’re so expensive but this is the fourth laptop my family has had from acer/microsoft that has completely died after only a few years of use.

@lipst1ck apple also has a student discount deal that’s technically for college students but they don’t check id’s online. you get a free pair of airpods w it i think, and it used to be beats headphones which they now do w airpods. if you already have airpods you could sell the brand new ones for extra cash, so it’s technically a discount on the macbook if that makes sense? sorry i’m rambling, but pls don’t hesitate to pm me if you want more info (:

@lipst1ck i have one of the newer macbook airs from like three? years ago? but it’s never acted funny on me, and i had one of the older versions of it before that was passed thru the family, so it was like eight years old when i finally got it to myself for school, and it still worked for two years, so they work for a rlly long time, and rlly well.

@lipst1ck i didn’t either until recently !!! and yes god ‘emotional nutrition’ <3 a lot of her stuff is really beautiful, like ‘therapy’ is so good. i wish she got as much recognition as rupi kaur (+ also i’m sorry if this came off as aggressive in any way!!! i just thought it was a very interesting topic bc of what i’ve learned)

orpheus & eurydice retellings >>> hades & persephone retellings i’m not sorry. i feel like hades and persephone retellings would be so much better if they were far less romance centric and more character driven, especially surrounding persephone and her mother. whereas orpheus and eurydice retellings are like absolutely perfect for the romance genre and offer up a lot of room for character work.
