Hey guys, I don’t normally like to get all sad and serious on social media but today is a very important for me and I’d like to talk about it (you don’t have to read this since I’ll be expressing my emotions, I don’t expect you to). On September 7th of last year, my cousin was killed in an accident and today marks one year of his death. I don’t really know how to talk about this because I’ve never opened up about the situation before, I’ve always kept these emotions to myself but since it’s been a year I thought I’d talked about it somewhere. Over the past year, I’ve watched my family fall apart. My cousin was the kind of person that brought light into the room and made everyone smile, I know that sounds a little cringe and straight out of a book or something but it’s true and once he was gone, so was that happiness in the family. For the first couple of months, I didn’t really feel anything, or atleast I tried not to feel anything because that’s how my brain works. After months I eventually feel into depression. I couldnt get out of bed, I didn’t eat anything, and I somehow convinced my mom to let me go to online school which just made me more depressed. I had to learn how to cope the hard way. Fortunately, I had my mom and friends to help me through it. My mom was my biggest supporter through it all which I am very grateful for, I wouldn’t have made it through without her. And as for my friends, even though I didn’t talk to them about it, them just being there and making me smile and laugh everyday truly helped me a lot. Thank you to Siria and Shirley for helping me through it even if you didn’t know. If you read this all the way through, thank you, you didn’t have to and I didn’t expect it. I honestly just needed a place to let out all of my emotions because I can never get myself to actually talk about them. If you have lost a loved one, please talk about it and don’t do what I did. Find someone to help you through the hard parts. I love you guys 🤍🤍
