That dark night when it was raining, and there were no cabs. You are all at the mall entrance, the storm caught you by surprise. No umbrella. Two strangers. It starts getting weird when the random person next to you hits on you.
"It's raining, "
He declares, as though you were both blind and deaf. You smile, you don't have the will to fight. In the distance a yellow spectre approaches. A cub no doubt. You almost go into the rain to flag it down. Too bad, you can't. You remember the baby cuddled on your chest. Plus, the other stranger has literally gone to the middle of the road to flag it down.
"He earned it,"
You think, and brace yourself for another observation from the gentleman next to you.
"Ma'am, it's yours"
The gent from the road shouts, the taxi waiting in front of him. You are shocked. He runs over, takes off his coat and shelters you and the baby
"I've paid him a good sum, he'll take you to your doorstep,"
He shouts as he guides you to the cab. You think it's a dream till you settle in the cab and see him close the door and wave you off. You didn't even get to say that you are married
The guy who stopped the taxi is my brother
