@Davrielle Thank you. :) I hope the story writing can live up to the "grandeur" of the sound trailer. It is much easier to make an epic sounding cinematic radio trailer than it is to write a good story. :p

            I grew up watching a lot of such historical Chinese dramas, so that helps a bit with the background. But ever since I started on this story, I began to read specifically about the Ming dynasty.
            
            Which is quite depressing... especially the part about bound feet. I was hoping the Ming concubines would have normal feet like the Qing dynasty Manchurian concubines... but, no. So all the concubines in my story have to hobble painfully on broken feet. :(
            
            This particular tragedy which I am going to tell is based off records in historical Korean chronicles, which have only been recently translated into Chinese and English. 
            
            So I have been referring to both Chinese and English sources, eg. TV documentaries, wikipedias etc. I have a couple of books, but I haven't got time to go through them yet.
            
            I certainly hope to be more thorough in my research for this story. :)
