if you’d ever like to sleep better, i have some suggestions.
1 : i sometimes like going to sleep with noise. it can be any type of noise. loud, soft, anything in between — you name it. sometimes being able to hear someone’s voice before heading to bed can soothe and regulate the human body.
2 : if you’d like, you can also listen to someone’s voice. it doesn’t make a difference per se if you choose to listen to an idol, or a close friend of yours - ramble. i am quite fearful of the dark but whilst listening to someone’s voice, it tends to be easier for me to ease my mind into drifting off to sleep.
3 : you could perhaps try counting sheep or even watching something that piques your interest to help you fall asleep ! at least, it has worked for me. i enjoy listening to theories about shows im interested in - and that usually takes up my energy / even energizes me much more !!
but if you really can’t sleep, it’s alright. you don’t have to force yourself into a somewhat ‘fruitful’ slumber just to please others.
you could instead relax ! when i’m unable to head to bed, i turn on my bedroom lights before either playing games or doing something that i enjoy. it helps take up most of my energy and also helps me feel productive. you could draw, write, anything. even speaking to acquaintances online / in real life who know you is alright too. sometimes, speaking to someone you feel emotionally connected to helps ease your nerves, making it much more easier to enjoy a good, long, and healthy sleep.
taking a warm bath or reading a book before heading to bed are effective methods as well!!
