Holy fuck. I might have just accidentally came out as trans to my mom. So we were talking about her asking my choir teacher if i could wear pants and not a dress for the concert because dresses make me uncomfortable and i jokingly said:
"Seriously what is wrong with me? I dont like dresses, i want my hair short, and i hate my boobs" (me)
And the rest of the conversation went smth like this
"Well i dont think anything is wrong with you" (mom)
"I didnt mean it like that, i guess i just meant its not normal i guess" (me)
-a bit of a pause-
"How do you feel most pretty?" (mom)
"Like how do i feel most comfortable dressing?" (me)
"Yeah, i mean i dont know if prettys a good word-" (mom)
"No, no, its fine" (me)
"Alright" (mom)
"Uhm, i mean maybe more masculine clothes.. " (me)

Okay, sorry it took a while to come back, i needed a while to process stuff and then i went to bed but i did talk to my mom and she was cool with it, she told me she loved me and that nothing would ever change that (yay) and we sat on the couch and talked for a bit, she said that while she was adjusting she might use gender neutral terms mostly, i said that was fine but it made me kinda uncomfy. We settled on calling me a more gender neutral shortened version of my deadname, which is pretty uncomfy because its still decently feminine but i dont really want to tell her that. She's gonna let me cut my hair more masculine and we made a plan to tell my dad and therapist, and i kinda just went to my room to process all that for the night. I cried quite a bit and i guess it sort of hurts because i dont think she totally sees me as a boy which sucks, but yeah thats where im at right now. Holy crap last night was a lot.
