Help is here, so, I think that a great start off would be a kind of introduction of the characters, not like tair crush but more like, while they're at school or smth the narrator talks about things the character likes. For example, idk finney is in science class, and you talk about how much he likes space, why he likes it and you just add a couple of scenes. A tip I have from when I write: Think about it as a movie, imagine that the chapter is just an episode of a tv show, narrate what's happening, how its happening, maybe even where its happening.
