Are you living in the 20th century, or did u not listen to anything i said??? First of all, i wasn’t yelling at u, i was emphasizing my point (so no need to get ur panties in a twist) If an arranged marriage was forced AT ANY POINT, is called a FORCED MARRIAGE. U r sorta right tho, many counties USED to force their children into marriage and call it an arranged marriage. TIMES HAVE CHANGED. It’s called an arranged marriage cuz parents find a suitable match for their child and (once again) THE CHILD HAS EVERY RIGHT TO SAY NO. If parents find a suitable match for their child and FORCES their child to marry them, then it’s called a FORCED MARRIAGE. In a country like the USA, love marriage is common (and guess what), their divorce rates are 40-50%. In a country like India, arranged marriages r common and their divorce rates are 12%. Nobody forced these Indians at gun point and told them “ur not allowed to divorce ur SO”. They decided to stay with their spouse cuz their happy. Ur making it seem like arrange marriages are some sort of evil thing so calm ur tiddies. I’m not attacking u, I’m educating you cuz this is a common misconception.
