I just gained a new respect for Disney Channel. I am touched and shocked that this was actually but on one of their shows. Disney Channel has always been child friendly. They didn't put anything young children wouldn't understand in their shows, until, Andi Mack aired. The show is meant for tweens and teens, but they took this to the extreme. The show was already very, and I mean VERY, twisted from what they usually do on their channel. I have always been intrigued to watch the series because it was so interesting, and different from their usually "teen" shows. I wasn't really a fan, but I still enjoyed watching. I saw yesterday that they were airing season two and I was glad that I could watch. I watched the first few episodes that they aired that day. In one of the episodes, a main male character confessed his feelings for another male main character. It took me by surprised that Disney would put in such a confusing topic for younger kids. Minus that, I realized they put a very important topic children should be learning. I'm not gay myself, but I'm a supporter. I was glad that Disney included that topic, because for all the people out there who thought that was weird, it wasn't. It was great, children need to learn that some people like people of the same sex.
