Rainier Marquez started writing at the age of 13 when he entered the Saint Mary's Minor Seminary in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte and became accustomed with his journal writing. Eventually, he was selected to be a Feature Editor of their school organ, Vox Mariae, when he was recognized for his writing skills. His writing skills have been furthermore noticed in his college years when he started submitting articles for Epistle, the official seminary magazine of San Pablo Major Seminary in Baguio City, where he became the editor-in-chief of the said publication from March 2006 to December 2007. He eventually carried on during his theological studies at Immaculate Conception School of Theology in Vigan City where he became the editor-in-chief of KNOW Magazine, June 2008 - March 2009. Some of his works are published in his Facebook Account and on his website rainiermarquez.blogspot.com. He also manages a Like Page in Facebook called "Meditations of a Wounded Soul", a weekly "coffee table" meditations centering on our daily struggles in life as based on the Sunday Mass Readings. He is currently a contributor and social media correspondent of YouthPinoy as an "Online Missionary of God" (OMG) Correspondent.

He hopes that through social media, he could reach out to so many people, especially the young people, and inspire them through his writing.
