Books - The Outsiders by S.E Hinton is my absolute favorite. 
Music - I don't have a favorite band to be honest. I just have a huge list of songs by various artists that I really like. The Kill by 30STM is my #1.
Cats, dogs, pretty much all animals but snakes frogs and lizards - I have a cat and a dog, but no sloths :( (Sloths are my favorite favorite favorite!)
