I am 55. I only started writing when recovering from serious illness and I found it very cathartic. My favourite authors are George Orwell, J.G Ballard. I also like Charles Dickens and the ghost stories of M.R James and H.P Lovecraft. 

I like music, mostly new wave and electronic music (Joy Division, John Foxx, Gary Numan) I also like art and draw a bit and do some digital art. I like the Dutch artist MC Escher's work. 

My poems do tend to be a bit dark and abstract, not by design but just how they tend to come out. I am also working on some ghost stories and some children's literature.
