I’m so excited to share with you my story, part of the Sugbo Series.
So what is this series all about?
The Sugbo Series is a five-part literary journey set in the vibrant heart of Cebu. At its core, it is not just about a place it is about the people whose lives, loves, and struggles unfold within it. Through five interconnected yet distinct stories, the series explores the beauty and chaos of human relationships, told through the eyes of five different couples.
Each book reveals a different facet of Cebu. The storms and sunshine of love, the echoes of history along Colon, the restless ambitions burning under IT Park’s city lights, the secrets hidden by bridges, and the lasting memories the city carries within its streets.
Though each couple has their own battles whether it be healing from pain, chasing ambition, confronting truths, or learning to love the city of Sugbo ties them all together. Cebu is not just their backdrop it is their witness, their companion, and sometimes even their test.
Ultimately, the Sugbo Series is about more than love stories. It is about how places and people intertwine, how chaos and comfort coexist, and how every ending leaves a mark that time cannot erase. Together, these five stories remind us that love—no matter how fragile, complicated, or fleeting always finds a way to be remembered.
