          Very recently -- like literally a few days ago -- an account on this app has taken other artists works and passing the ideas and chapters that are LITERALLY WRITTEN WORD FOR WORD off as their own with no acknowledgement towards the accounts that created them. Some of these accounts are:

          @-JASONSGRACE
          @sorryimjustsad
          @bitchwritesshit
          @anxiicty
          
          and I'm sure that there are more that we didn't even know about
          
          My heart goes out to all these accounts and I'm posting about this because it's so incredibly important, especially when wattpad doesn't even seem to notice when thins like this happen most of the time.
          
          thankfully, that account has now been deleted (probably due to the amount of pressure and backlash that she got) but she didn't even respond to the original messages and requests for to take the plagiarized stories. (At least as far as I know, correct me if I'm wrong.)
          
          If you really like an author's work and wanna use their backstory, then just private message them and ask if it's alright! It's not fucking rocket science I--
          
          In my experience, most people on this app are so incredibly understanding and kind! Even if they don't allow you to use their backstories, they'll probably at least help you figure out your own that's just as good, if not better!
          
          Moral of the story here: don't take people's works and pass them off as your own. It's plagiarism, it's hurtful, and it's fucking NOT ok.
