          Her eyes closed as their lips connected. She pulled him closer and wrapped her arms around his shoulders.

          "You don’t have to ask, Clint."

          "Duh, how could I not?" Her voice was soft and level.

          She smiled and nodded, kissing his hand. 
           "I like you too."

          "I’d hope you like me, we've been best friends for years." Natasha smiled a bit, her cheeks going pink. She was hoping he meant in a different way, but he probably didn’t.

          Natasha pulled away and nodded, a hand on his shoulder. 
              "What is it?" She asked gently, tilting her head.

          "You’re blushing," she commented. "What’s going on?"

               "Tell me you didn’t get into any trouble while I was gone."
