The avatar picture is of Pinkie Pie -- a bipolar, attention-deficit-laden, bright-side-enabling cartoon pony whom I tellingly feel depicts my truest self most accurately. 

The background image is a screenshot from Children of the Night. As an acclaimed fan-made short animation of its show of origin, it represents the longing in me to produce work of comparable caliber.
