@TheBeautyOfFantasy thank you ❤️ yeah i think some of the info was misconstrued, because as far as i was aware the Lionturtle granted Aang energybending. i haven’t watched the entirety of LoK so i was just going based off of what i know. in the description of Ether, it is a synonym for void, so the main name of the element my character can bend is actually called Ether, which is never mentioned in atla from what i remember 

@TheBeautyOfFantasy according to avatar: the last airbender, voidbending is the 5th lost element. S3 chapter: sozen's commit 2 or 3 the void lion turtle granted that bending to Aang but according to avatar: the legend of korra it's an extension of airbending. There might be a possibility that the world "void" has 2 separate meaning or the writing crew messed up which is expected because I found a flaw in the script. In avatar Aang they said that the original benders were the badgermoles, dragons, air bisons and moon amd that people learned bending from them but in avatar korra they said that the lion turtles granted bending to people. Anyways the story was good❤

from what i was aware the subsets of airbending were flight and spiritual projection. i did do research and Ether is actually an element on its own
