Here is my take on writing a story:
"It’s fun writing the first few paragraphs of a story, because you have an idea, and you know what you want out of it. You’re all pumped up and you’ve written the first few paragraphs within, like, a minute. But after that, when you re-read what you’ve written, sometimes, you just lose it. You still have your idea, you can remember it, but when you look at what you’ve written, you just want to change the rest of the story completely. Your main idea is still there, but all the things that should stem out of it, you want to erase, and redo.
So, when you finally do continue, you’re proud of yourself, especially because you didn’t just scrap the entire idea! But when you do finish, you read it over again, and you want to, like I said before, erase and redo. You want to have that moment again, the one you had in the beginning when you couldn’t stop writing. So sometimes, I’ll just completely forget about the book, then like a week later, I’ll have that moment all over again. I’ll continue where I left off, write those few paragraphs, and repeat the process. I don’t know, it’s weird, maybe it’s everyone, maybe it’s just me."
