I'm glad to find this community of like minded people. 

I think writing is a beautiful form of expression, because on the writer's end - the writer has to stop and think and then write about how to say something -- which is something that when we are talking to one another we don't always have time to do.  On the reader's end, you have to stop and listen/read what the writer is trying to communicate.  It's a wonderful way to share and connect with one another.  I feel much the same way about music.  writing and music each touch our souls (for many reasons) but I like the effort that it takes on each person's part to -- listen to ourselves, as writers, and also to take in someone's message as a reader or listener.
