hadestown is one of the few musicals where the second act is better than the first. leagues ahead. not that the first was bad but it keeps getting better as it goes on. i’m rewatching right now like “damn wicked wishes”

          ok so i finally listened to the new harry album for the first time and in one word i wanna say contradictory. towards the beginning (i think in “the waiting game”) he kinda acknowledges criticisms for a lack of introspection (according to genius) - or that his lyrics don't do the best job of letting people actually understand him. and he's sure as hell not going to do that in person, as we know... but then throughout the rest of the album he talks about how people (fans) don't actually know him, expect one version of him, and struggles with the persona he's cultivated as it’s no longer true to him
          
          speaking as a fan, his public personality since 1d has been kinda... blank. he doesn't tell us anything. not saying he has to but then that explains why people only expect the pop star/past version of you, they have nothing else to go off of. and i mean nothing. even when im balls deep in the lore, a third of his discography either feels like inside jokes were not privy to, or conversations he's had but isn't willing to elaborate. so like pick a lane? sounds like an easy fix to me man but what do i know
          
          don't wanna listen again rn. not my vibe, sonically my least fav. i’ll see i guess
