          i think people forget that hugh was also a kid when he was friends/in a relationship with lizzie like yes the idiot continuously whined 'IM NOT A KID' but he still had kid feelings and was sensitive he was i think 11 or 12 when he dated liz and that is YOUNG he took responsibility to take care of her love her for YEARS like we all js ignore the good things he did and focus on the bad like yes he left her but his own mental health was derailing bc of liz (i love my girl liz no hate to her obvi) but he seriously needed to take a step back and as someone who had tons of friends who were su1cidal it was really hard obvi i didnt give up on them but i also had to take care of myself to help them bc if i didnt take a step back my mental health would go bonkers along with them and we'll both crash anyways thats what hugh did or tried to do and we should really cut him some slack and focus on the actual abusers. like hello?? where is the mark allen hate? teddy lynch hate? hell, why rnt kevin and sadbh hated?? like direct ur hate to people who deserve it and not some kids alr
          (sry for the rant but the hugh hate was going crazy)

i just hate him because he's just plain cheating, he does not treat Claire that good, thinks that his father's neglect only affects him, not his sister, always complaining and whining like a child, defending Lizzie even if she did wrong and going after her and I'm never gonna forget this:
            
            "Ask the r@p1st protector!" screamed Lizzie.
            "What did you do now, Gibs?" asked Hughie 
            
            like... That is supposed to be your best friend, Hughie, your not by blood brother and you just assumed he's protecting Mark when he always told you he hated him??? Like
            And I hated how he was supposedly the most emotionally intelligent in the group (Chloe says he's smart) when like he isn't, like emotional intelligence 0 (maybe only with Lizzie he can understand her but w the others bro he can't read a single emotion)

@ iheartfeelyclub  I hate Hugh with a passion but for other reasons, not for that. Lizzie was toxic and he couldn't do anything about it. Even if he loved her he couldn't stay with someone who drained the life out of him. He had to focus on himself as well as Lizzie has to do that (sorry not sorry but I'm never gonna be a Liz defender, Iunderstand her but i can't excuse her actions)
