i know i haven't updated in a while, and i'm sorry for that. and no, this announcement isn't about my story at all. i'm not going to be silent about this. as a poc, i know i don't have privilege here in america like non-pocs. i understand i won't get the same treatment as the non-pocs. but i understand that i have never gone through what george floyd has. i am not black, but i mourn with you. i believe we need justice and peace, and if we can't get that then we won't give up. i've never talked about this stuff before, which is why i was pretty silent about it. i'm scared of saying something wrong, but now i've learned that i can learn from my mistakes. as an asian person living in america with immigrant parents, i know how hard it is to deal with such a president. donald trump has called the coronavirus the "chinese virus". donald trump has called black people "thugs". donald trump has called hispanics "illegal". but when white people walk around with guns in their hands he says to let the people live their lives? he even mocked "i can't breathe". him, being a non-poc, will NEVER understand what george floyd or any other black family member has gone through because of his privilege. black lives matter. no lives matter until black lives matter. it's okay. you don't have to say anything about it, but please, go to https://blacklivesmatters.carrd.co/ to find ways to help support the black lives matter movement ❤️ thank you.
