[     his hand immediately draws back as his jaw is left hanging, staring with wide eyes at the tree rustling from a harmless poke.   he gasps in return as he's poked back,  watching the vine with awe uncharacteristic of the usually reserved child.     ]
            
            "⠀⠀...im sorry for hurting you mister tree...⠀⠀"

a dramatic gasp,  the leaves seeming to flare.  “ouch,  that so very hurt,”  a vine lowers down to poke cyno in turn before bobbing around the child.

[   cyno immediately stumbles back,  looking around for the source of the voice with his head whipping side to side.   then finally up.   he slowly approaches the tree he was leaning on again and pokes it as though testing waters.   ]

they're a little sheepish as chi laughs at their choice of words,  clearing their throat as their masked face flushes lightly.  "⠀⠀how convenient,  then.  i suppose that's to be expected from a divine being.  if that's the right way to refer to you.⠀⠀"

heehee.  photosynthesised.  * another drowsy chuckle,  leaves fluttering at the expression of it,  covering their mouth as a yawn is heaved *  i was created here,  yes.  and was graced with a variety of other forms in case this was too limiting for my purposes.

she watches as fingers trace so gently against his wings,  a prideful warmth in his chest as they are so openly appreciated by it.  a short trill is sounded to show that she agrees,  fitting her wing more comfortably around it as it further leans into her.   "⠀⠀i'm glad you think so.⠀⠀"

* a delighted wriggle further against the other at the extra,  warm layer tucked around him so graciously.  it makes them drowsier than they’d ever admit,  and he finds his fingers tracing along the vibrant feathers of the falcon *  as long as you do.  * it retorts almost immediately,  head settling comfortably against her with a happy little sigh *  this is quite cosy,  isn’t it?

turning their gaze towards him at the casual approach that he maintained , they were left momentarily speechless .  a hesitant action , though eventually another wing comes to snuggly wrap itself around the ancient tree until he was tucked under it .  they're grateful for the further barriers put up to prevent the strong winds from the outside disturbing them .  ❛⠀⠀you as well , then .⠀⠀❜ it wasn't difficult to recognise when he wouldn't tolerate arguing .  plenty encounters have left to such understanding -  so they would only encourage him to do the same .
