alright kind of a hot take here but i need to get this out: the amount of hate tros is getting right now honestly doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. like... what do y’all want? yeah of course there’s flaws, there’s flaws with every film. but to say it’s straight up terrible and ruined the entire sw franchise is pushing it. i mean, i thought tlj left a lot to be desired and was a big letdown. but even then, i don’t think that movie screwed over the entire saga. people seem to forget that the sequel trilogy has had its issues since the very beginning, that it was never going to surpass its predecessors and be the trilogy we had dreamt of it being. quite frankly, and myself included, the expectations we had were unrealistic. guys, these are star wars movies. they’ve never been regarded as the pinnacle of cinema — they’re meant to be fun, entertaining and filled with nostalgic emotion. and for me, tros was exactly that. just enjoy it for what it is and if you can’t get around the parts you don’t like, then that’s fine. but please, let’s not have a repeat of what happened 2 years ago after the release of tlj. the constant railing and nitpicking doesn’t help anyone.
