cabo verde were one of my favorite teams, ever since watching vozinha make an extraordinary save only 50 yards away from me, way back in their match against spain. honestly this is the best possible way they could've gone out of this tournament, and just as pedri predicted before the tournament even started, they WERE the surprise team, and they solidified that tonight in that extraordinary performance against argentina. this is so dramatic but i needed to talk about this somewhere. im so lucky for being able to witness the beginning of their world cup journey, and i can only hope they'll be back again four years ago to wow us even more. but for now, vamos messi and vamos argentina ❤️

im in love with all of these world cup upsets. even tho i really wanted spain to win, i'm so happy for cabo verde, and being in that environment and seeing their fans being so proud was honestly so beautiful. and DRC drawing with Portugal? Curacao scoring? omg. and let's not forget the biggest upset: the worst team in the world beating croatia (lmao)
