A few days ago, I was watching black panther with my mum and my brother for the first time and what I noticed is that Wakanda was located in the same place as the tribe that I'm a part of. I understand that they didn't make them speak the same language as us because not many people know the language or even know of our tribe but Wakanda is located between South Sudan, Uganda and another East African country so I don't understand why they're speaking Xhosa. It feels like they just asked anyone to name a famous African person and the said Nelson Mandela and then they were like 'okay, Nelson Mandela was part of the Xhosa tribe (I don't know if that's the correct name of the tribe I studied this a while ago) and they spoke Xhosa so let's make them speak Xhosa'. They could have at least made them speak Juba Arabic, Swahili, Buganda or Luganda since many people speak those languages and they are the main languages of those countries (although the national language of Uganda is English). Even if they didn't choose those specific languages they could have chosen one from any East African country since Wakanda is located in the east but instead they chose a South African language. Just so you know I have nothing against South Africans it's just this specific thing I found annoying. The movie is really good and the moral is what a lot of Africans need to think about. Just so you know I am not exactly an expert on Africa so I only based this off things I know and if I'm wrong please correct me.
