I'm replying here cause I already feel bad about announcing the use of AI on their public feed, but I wasn't able to privately message.
If you play around with CHATGPT, you'll see patterns in writing that is used almost every time. I think I noticed the constant use of commas and specific words.
All of these examples are one from chapter (24) but u can find these in most
Arkyn and Sterling flanked us, eyes sharp, ready for anything, but they stayed still. They were letting this moment happen, letting us meet him on our own terms, but keeping the line between protection and control clear.
Sofia's eyes lingered on the three of us, assessing, calculating even. She didn't move closer yet, her sternness absolute, but I could feel her presence as a reminder. She was here too.
Hadeon's gaze softened further, and he crouched slightly, arms opening slowly, inviting. "Come closer," he whispered.
(notice the amount of comma stacks in most of the writing)
"I hesitated. Jude's hand brushed mine, and I looked at Kai. Both twins' faces were tense, scared, and they looked like they were ready to bolt."
"The boys got closer, now within a few feet. Hadeon reached out, putting his hands on their shoulders."
the structure of character -> action -> description with commas separating descriptive phrases (very comma heavy descriptive phrases)

I'm not trying to say that all of these examples alone prove it's written by AI, but everything added together...

One of the most obvious tells is the repetitive use of sentence structures which I have seen in more and more books on Wattpad. Once you see more AI, it becomes easier to spot because it has a specific voice. Something AI loves to write is "it's not x, it's y."
Another one is the rule of three especially when it's used in almost every paragraph.
"rain slicked from the storm outside, tall, broad, commanding."
"I never had a hug like this, strong, possessive, consuming." - chapter 24
"the other brothers hovered, silent, watching.."
"Kai's jaw was tight, arms-half raised, ready to pull us back..."
"Jude leaned closer into the hug, and for a moment the world outside, the storm, the fear, everything- faded."
"I stepped a tiny fraction forward, almost on my own, curiosity flickering."
"I let myself be held completely, entirely, without trying to hide."
mind u this is all one chapter
Words that AI will often spam
- breath
- tight
- a beat
- sharp -> "rain lashed against the glass in sharp uneven bursts." "Kai swung his legs over the bed in one sharp movement." + "next to him, Sofia's presence was sharp and cold." + "arkyn and sterling flanked us, eyes sharp."
- and after dialogue, phrases like "voice low but firm."
