            My parents went to community classes within our city to learn ASL when the doctors first diagnosed me. Nowadays, I would recommend using the app ASL Coach. It's free and, as my little siblings are still learning, they use it.

Do you not use hearing aids? I'm sorry if that was rude, but I've never known a deaf person and have no clue how much hearing aids cost. I do know they're meant to help when your deaf (no duh sam) but where they too costly?

            They were too much money for my family when I was young, so I've just recently gotten them, but they don't do much for me, so I speak mostly sign lanauge and my parents made sure I knew how to read and write.
