This is something I’ve been wanting to share with everyone, since it’s really been bothering me. I don’t mean to sound like I’m whining into the void. Nevertheless, I’ve been receiving multiple notifications of people that claim to be visual artists and offer to “help” with my story.

I have learned that in the majority of cases, these are just scammers that deliver AI generated art, and it really breaks my heart how it mostly happens to small authors with little engagement. Have these people got no decency? No consideration for the feelings of the writer? Imagine thinking your story is finally getting traction only to find some greedy mf reaching out for nothing else but profit. “Your story is so deep” “I loved your story” “It’s very visual and it’d work great as a graphic novel—“ please, stop it. I’m not interested, and I have nor the money nor the time for your bullshit.

Even so, I really hope this may help for engagement, and if any of the people of the community have faced a similar issue, I’d love to hear your experience as I’m bothering you with mine lol

Anyway, I also want to take this opportunity to thank the readers, though little, that had stayed loyal reading my story. Your support is everything that’s keeping me going after this year and a half I’ve been grinding to give you the best of what I have.

The last chapter of ‘Him’ (ACT I) will be released with a short epilogue, hinting at the events of the next arc. I’m genuinely so excited since it’s full of so many endearing characters I can’t wait to show to the world!!

With nothing more to say, and lots of love,

          	       xx, ches

@beOnion honestly, real. You can always see MILES away when a fic is ai generated. They’re so stale, just reading a couple sentences or looking at the God-awful covers piss me off so bad

@imnotchescake No I've literally been dealing with the same problem. There's so much scamming and AI generated slop going around but I can't report it because technically they're not doing anything illegal. It's even more infuriating because I've finding MULTIPLE AI generated fics out there gaining way more traction than well-written stories made by humans. I will always continue reading your work because I'd rather die than eat up the work of people who sold their soul to a machine.

Women with vases in their heads and men with animals in tow —camels, horses, donkeys pulling creaking carts chased by children with their heads covered and stumbling over their own robes.

Kuina took a second to contemplate how innocent they looked, slightly wishing her childhood had been more like theirs. Not knowing how babies were made before seven years old nor having your first beer at ten, nor sagging all day from waking up early and running laps.

          "Oi."

Kumi snapped her finger in front of Kuina's nose. "Ya said hurry. Now you're the snail?"

Kuina swatted her hand away and grabbed Junko by the back of her shirt. "Movin' on."

          …

‘him’ chapter 19, ‘(one piece) of bad fortune’ out soon!
