Despite his frigidness and distant ways, there was always an air of charm that followed him. Even when he left, a ghost of his presence lingered in people's minds, in the form of curiousity and intrigue. A mystery wouldn't be the right term to use for him. No, it'd be best to describe him as an almost comprehensible mold of boy who meant well but could never show it. Still, most of those in the age he lived in were lucky enough to be spared from any feverent displays, as it would be a sight that would be impossible to erase from the memory.

i'll swap places with snape; at least then, you two can bond in your shared misery.

[ ignoring his comment, she once again tries the method on the sopophorous bean, only to yield the same result as before. this was irritating, to say the least. the instructions specifically said to cut, did it not? the third time around, she attempts to hold down the bean with her free hand and narrowly misses her nails when the blade came down, watching the bean escape her once more—still intact. ]

mhm. [ instructions called for extracting the juice from the bean by cutting, so that is what she intends to do. she brings the blade down to the sopophorous bean to slice open only to be surprised when it jumps away from her with the slightest bit of pressure. ]

i didn't think anyone would find me out here, least of all you. shouldn't you be at lunch?

demagie

i don't need help. i'm not moving from this spot; i was here first. [ back still turned to him, her brush makes contact with the painting again. ] you are making this unnecessarily difficult. you can eat your lunch in silence. i won't say a word to you.

/you/ are the pretentious prick of a captain? good to know you're self aware.

@demagie “on my mark, everyone!” jack announces, beginning to pace around. “en garde!” everyone got into position. “prêts!” the room stills but there’s a buzz of anticipation. “allez!”

“likewise, leeuwen.” she salutes the other with a crisp raise of her foil, then assumed the en garde position. she adjusted her grip, the sleek weapon feeling like an extension of her arm. through her mask she can see the strip, the lights, the opponent—all of it came sharply into focus.

@demagie leeuwen took his place, giving jack a signaling look which the captain returned in a quick glare. “it’s a pleasure to meet you, astier. hope youMre enjoying the club so far.” he slipped his mask on and assumed the en garde position.

@calderonas [ through many blinks, he finally sat up, peeling his knuckles away from his cheek. how long had he been stuck in a reverie? almost awkwardly, he looked up at the other, not a twinkle of an apologetic look on his features ] i’m sorry, should i have been?
