Is it socially acceptable for me to write oneshots if I'm a terrible writer? Whatever just no one read them!!!!

I think I might start writing random oneshots because I genuinely enjoy writing but I just looked and it's been over a year since I updated my story and I feel like that's not cute anymore. Like I before I was like lol I'm such a hot mess but now I'm just a deadbeat mom. Also I would like to formally apologize to anyone who at any point actually enjoyed the story because I know how livid I get when ppl don't update and while I'm just goofing around I still feel bad.
