The school bell rang loudly, signaling that the school day was over and the students could head home from school. Bethany, on the other hand, didn't head to her home and instead decided to go for a walk in the woods. As she walked down the sidewalk with her Batman comic-book in hand, the petite brunette flinched when she heard the sound of thunder. Before she could even look up at the somewhat dark sky, she shoved her comic in her bag and used her flannel as a umbrella as she began to jog down the road.
After a while, the girl gave up and tied her flannel around her waist, her hair already pretty damp. Because she lost track of where she was going, she froze and began to worry that she just gotten herself lost. What really worried her was the fact that she stood across from the house that no one dared to enter. The French girl stood there as she stared at the house while the droplets of water fell from the sky.

Before she heard the male call out to her, she had spotted a single red balloon in the door way. Watching as the front door slam shut, she flinched and turned her head to the boy on the bike. Bethany snapped out of her daze and gave the house a confused look, seeing that the ballon was gone. "Uh, yeah," she replied to the boy with a small nod.

chance was riding his bike home from school, pedaling faster as the rain plopped harder. his dark hair stuck to his head like a mop, his backpack clapping against his back as he pedaled. he took a shortcut to get home, slowing as he saw a girl standing in front of the neibolt house. " hey- are you okay?" he called out.
