Your storytelling has a rare flow—the pacing, emotion, and atmosphere pull the reader in without forcing it. There’s a natural cinematic quality to the way you build scenes and tension. Keep going—there’s something genuinely compelling in the way you write

@imabecky2 I don't actually. My poetry typically reflects on personal events so the only character is me haha but I'm hoping to get back into novel writing so maybe someday I'll have some characters to create :)

That is truly heartbreaking to lose all that poetry your entire outlet from high school until now. I admire your resilience in trying to get back to it.
I'm sure your new collection, carrying the spirit of "the sound of whispered thunder crashing," will be incredible and do justice to your earlier work! Btw do you post visuals/refs for you characters somewhere? I'd love to see how you imagine them.

@imabecky2 Thank you so much. I've been struggling to write nowadays due to a very unfortunate loss of all my poetry (my one outlet in all this crazy) which I started out in high school and I'm now an adult. It's been so hard but I've been trying to get back into it :) "the sound of whispered thunder crashing" is actually the title of a completely finished manuscript of my first poetry collection: I hope I do the one I lost justice; I'm glad you find the current work appealing!

I'm looking forward to seeing your work by the way, if you end up posting any <3
