hiiii, i saw your message on JJ's convo thing about learning Hindi or punjabi but wattpad isn't letting me reply so i'll tell you here
so like you can go for Hindi first, you can go for Sanskrit too but now no one really speaks Sanskrit. idk punjabi either but i can make out some sentences which are similar to hindi, you can watch a youtube video. yeah and you mum's right you should learn the sound first cause it'll be easier that way, so you learn the alphabets first with sounds/pronunciation and then you can start with the vocabulary, for me Duolingo helped a lot for my vocabulary, you don't have to necessarily write it but writing will help u understand better. hope this helps!
