I feel like kpop genuinely has to be at least a Little corny for it to work. Like i feel like 2025 kpop really emulated 2018–2020 kpop & didn't try too much to pander to US audience and it WORKS!!!

I got pretty exposed to h2h (not surprised since my country is kinda the target audience lol), but groups like jo1, bonedo, tws, izna, and illit are doing pretty well this year! Bonedo particularly is very svt coded and i really like that vibe! I'm pretty critical of 5th gen, but once you find the good ones, thats a gold mine
