lowk sad they're making shatter me into a movie.....i honestly js see the actors getting hated on for not being as perfect as the characters, like everyone expects aaron to have this extraterrestrial beauty and if the actor doesn't match up they're gonna get SO MUCH HATE. Same w Juliette, she was literally engineered to have 'excessive beauty' and yk how they love to tear women down in the industry. I fear the only way they're gonna make y'all happy is by casting Jalen Parker and Eliza Browne lol and they're influencers so idk ab their acting ability. Again I may be reaching bc we literally know NOTHING but I can still voice my opinion, maybe the actors will be perf but I doubt it bc yk they always have SOMETHING to say ab actors in book/movie adaptations. Hopefully they're underground actors, Obsession was so good partly due to the fresh faces bc I BETTER not be seeing margot robbie w brown hair play juliette since she's playing 17 year olds at 35 now.....chile
          	And if I see the girls who used to make fun of readers start to thirst over movie aaron.....yall grab my machete bc there's no way
          	I don't mind Taylor Swift but keep her away from that damn franchise bc where would she even fit, I say this bc so many booktok readers are swifties, if tahereh uses someone mainstream let it be aurora or lorde idk
          	ANYWAYS yeah its js confusing to me bc I thought I saw an interview that Tahereh wasn't going to convert it into a movie any time soon but I guess notttt good on her though she's getting her bag

@Tswizz19893 I understand why she's turned it into an adaptation, it was set in 2030 and its literally almost 2030 or it will be by the time its published, shatter me was also on the list of books they wanted to ban in america so at least this way its immortalised. I think it's okay for fans to be upset about it though and be protective of the casting, this is a franchise that genuinely holds such a deep meaning to all of us in our hearts, I know I wouldn't be the same person I am now without it and that's not an exaggeration at all, I know I'm definately upset that its being converted into a movie. The fans shouldn't really be that upset about the casting if Tahereh genuinely signed off on it and thought they were the best casting. Tbh, it doesn't even matter if the book fans dislike the acting for the book fandom bc tahereh won't get the hate, the ACTORS will which is another reason why i feel like its js gonna cause more hate and controversy. Shatter me isn't niche on booktok but in terms of mainstream media and every single franchise there ever was, yes, shatter me is a little more niche, so hate on actors will just make it more amplified and its not something a lot of people want, we all want niche-r actors and actresses to match the franchise so there's not too much controversy and stuff sooo

One of my best friends sadly left this earth last week. during my exam season. I haven't studied at all this week and I'll probably have to redo my exams next year and hold off college. I'll probably delete this soon but my heart is in shambles.

@inkstainedfingers what I did was not something u should do girl, I just dissociated the entire time at her funeral, and kinda put everything in the back of my mind and didn’t let myself grieve… then one day I found a little letter she had written me in primary school and I just bawled. Cried for days.
            Honestly best way to cope is to let urself feel, be sad, cry, think about her/him and u will slowly find urself again. Just make sure to take care of urself , one thing I like to tell myself is that she wouldn’t be happy w me if I just got depressed and dwelled on it forever. I hope u feel better <3
