sooooo you know how i said i was rewriting the current chapters of Two Pieces of a Heart and then i would start updating again??? well i rewrote all the chapters…

then kept writing and writing and writing without posting.

i now have the entirety of year 3, year 4, year 5, and first half of year 6 written and edited. the second half of year 6 is in it’s rough draft and year 7 is a mix of zero drafts, rough drafts, and a few specific scenes completely written and edited (ones i was excited to write for a while *wink wink*)

when i first decided to rewrite two pieces of a heart, i didnt expect for it to be a complete upheaval of the story, so the massive overhaul that it became soon turned into me constantly going back and forth between the tiniest of details. in so many instances, for example, i would think i had year 3 and 4 completely finished and then something would happen in year 5 that would cause me to go back and add foreshadowing to earlier chapters. this is something i wouldnt have been able to do had those chapters already been published as soon as i finished them.

it quickly became clear to me that i couldnt just write chapters in between each update anymore. i needed to have this thing finished before i could update again. i guess this is how normal authors write when they publish books, so idk why im making a big deal about it.

anyways, Two Pieces of a Heart will be published only once it is written, beta read, and edited in it’s entirety. next time you hear from me, rewritten year 3 will be posted and i will be updating chapters multiple times a week.

          	see you soon!

To all my authors on here: how do you deal with the dilemma of wanting to go back and edit stories that have already been published, but also having an emotional attachment to going back and reading comments on every paragraph? I really want to edit my story, but I hate that the comments are no longer attached to paragraphs :(

@insanelychaotic i write on another acc, what i do is i simply start a new story where i paste all the old chapters and edit it that way. it's easier if you have it on a document other than wattpad
