Gwen looked down at his lips. They were a soft rose, like a dulcet petal soaring in the spring. Delicate lines brushed against them in a perfect silhouette, almost purposeful, as if the artist had decided on applying such intimate details. 
          
          And his warmth... oh, his warmth. 
          
          Absolutely breathtaking.
          
          "Can you help me up?" Steve softly breathed, his forehead laying comfortably on her shoulder. 
          
          She swallowed thickly and carefully lifted him by placing an arm around his shoulder and the other around his waist. He winced upon standing and nearly fell, but it was her hands that prevented his descend. 
          
          "I don't think you should be walking right now," she advised. "You should sit down, wait until Hopper finds us."
          
          He shook his head, "It's just a sprained ankle. I've been through worse."
          
          Gwen despised that he experienced greater hardships. Someone as good as him deserved the absolute world that she considered his pain as one of the greatest sins to exist. She wanted to say this, to let him know his worth, but his graze falling against her skin kept her silent as if she were a lovestruck fool. 
          
          Steve lifted his gaze to hers. His brown eyes were brighter than anything witnessed. They were romantic, as if they held the words to a love story. She tried to move, but it was impossible. He was present before her staring as if she were worthy of being worshipped. 
          
          But the truth was that it was her that worshipped him. 
          
          She knew it now.
          
          Perhaps she always did.
