@invisibleshadow_ -- Correct. You can use the name of the song anywhere in the text, mention the songwriter or singer, and/or use the meaning of the song. I gave these options because sometimes the meanings do not engage us as writers, or do not match the genres we prefer. Plus, some of the songs are just hard to fit in.
@invisibleshadow_ -- Sorry it took so long to respond! I found this comment in my emails from Wattpad. (You forgot to tag me XD) Before you actually withdraw, I'd like to offer another option. Most of the writers are going with the meanings of the songs. How about going in a different direction? You can write a short story, a little over 500 words per chapter, by just saying the name of the song somewhere in the chapter. Ex: She really had too much time on her hands. Ex: Let's go crazy with setting up the balloons and streamers! Ex: I'm the only one who knows the password. This way it can be happy, short, and in something that fits you better.

Just a little update on the contest itself:
Since adding the Non-Compete category, I've decided that anyone who has not finished their story in time, anyone who has used AI over the limits, anyone who asks, and finally, anyone who has scored lover then 70/100 when judging---will all be moved to Non-Compete, so they have a chance at winning.
