do you ever just write notes about your story at 3am and then wake up the next day, opening your notebook, and your scrawls are just barely legible because same...i have 5 pages' worth of notebook scribbles because of yesterday's insomnia, and they're now permanently in my formerly aesthetic writing notebook.
@aviaglass Maybe hangovers are a bit worse. But yes...I don't even know why my brain decides to not let me sleep. Irritating.
@iridcscents High five! The headache next morning is almost like a hangover lol...not that I've ever been drunk :P
@aviaglass Hahaha, the struggle is in reading your own handwriting the next day. Also lack of sleep. High five!

working on something new. i promise i'm not dead. i'm currently wondering how many words on average should a chapter be? and i cannot for the life of me think of a title for my newest project. ...i hope i get some inspiration soon.
@iridcscents Sounds good, considering the length you're going for with the chapters. Go for it!
@PrincipleOfEntropy It's somewhat of a cross between dystopian and thriller and fantasy. Chapter One is currently ~2000 something words. I don't know whether it'll be a novel, because my ideas always develop on the go - right now I'd estimate it'd be at least 8 to 9 chapters.
Thank you for the follow! :-D <3
the days waft by so mindlessly like cotton clouds with ruptured holes and nanoseconds are bit off in chunks of idle poetry-writing and furiously solving exponential equations
@aviaglass Maybe once we enter the hellhole of IB we'll have second thoughts. I'm just trying to savour these last days and make them memorable:)
@iridcscents Me too! i can't wait to actually have something to do again, but at the same time I want to continue sleeping in every morning! It's a no win situation :/
i am done! with my exams, i mean. currently hopping over to continue writing my upcoming story that will appear in "mono no aware" - i have the general gist down in my notes, so that's good. also, i'm running out of new ideas for poetry. i think i wanna branch out and refrain from only writing about nature / dark themes / imagery / metaphors and similes etc etc. so if you guys would like to request some poems or have some ideas pertaining to what topics i could try writing on, feel free to tell me. i'm always up for a new challenge. love you guys!
and with the death of her youth came understanding that her spine would bend under the relentless attack of lost time, and she knew her days were numbered, yet she fell asleep smoothly, easily, a baby lamb tucked in the crook of slumber.
why do poets use oxymorons? to show that black is, indeed, white. and mirrors only reflect a single image of a person according to the laws of physics. and how you can kiss someone passionately but pour in your hate for them like cloaked intoxication in your gasping lips. how you can smile, smile all you want and flood your pillow with saltwater enough to fill thousands of raging oceans. how the world turns on its axis steadily and it's day for me, night for you, and all the ticking hours in between. contradictions in themselves. like how the sun and moon both emit light, but day after day they argue and chase each other away.
- maybe contrast would be a better word but it didn't sound quite right ; oxymorons are apparently contradicting words in conjunction with each other thus it does work i guess
sorry for not updating much these few days! i have my last few exams on monday - wednesday, so that's primarily why. i'm also planning and writing a new story for my collection mono no aware! i had a small brainwave today and i'm currently preparing the roadmap of the story, so do stay tuned for more updates! thank you all for your support, once again <3
i've had boys laughingly kiss me on the tip of my button nose, their eyes crinkled, "your freckles are cute," they always whisper. my hair is fiery crimson and i cut it in flowing bangs so the sweep of my locks curtains the blemishes on my cheek. but recently, one pitter-patter morning, a car screeched muddy puddle all over my shoes. and the pink glow of my umbrella illuminated a tiny flower, stretching in the dewy rain and it was - a majestic orange thing, beautifully dotted with scattered brown speckles. i slipped it in my breast pocket. mom said it was called a tiger lily, and i giggled when she compared it to the constellations sprinkled over the bridge of my nose.
