How are we doing today?
          
          It’s rather cold here in Texas, a windchill of -3 and light snow flurries. So I’m bundled up in bed with my laptop and notebook, a dozen pillows and blankets, and a story to share. 
          
          Remember a few days ago when I announced I had a few unnamed WIPs going? Well I’m here to announce the one with a tragic goth girl with funeral-parlor fashion sense ;)
          
          Without further ado, the first chapter my new story ‘these hallowed halls’ will be up as soon as this post goes live!
          
          ‘these hallowed halls’ follows young Lilith Morrigan as she embarks on her time a Nevermore Academy. It’s a polyamorous triad fic, with Xavier Thorpexocxoc. (And background WednesdayxEnid ;).)
          
          I’m very excited to share this project with you, and I hope you enjoy it!

Wow, it's uh been awhile huh? Nearly a year. A lot's happened this year, for me personally. If you care to know, here's what's been going on since the last time we talked, otherwise skip to the end for book related updates.
          
          We said goodbye to one of my aunts, and one of my dad's friends, and one of my mom's friends. The last few years have been riddled with loss and grief for my family, but we are doing our best to make our days count. We celebrated the one-year anniversaries of my Nana and Uncle's passing. I bought my first car! And then I was involved in a nasty accident that totaled it, RIP Darla the Kia. I saw 5SOS in concert two nights in a row back in June, I had been holding onto the tickets for one of the shows for over two years. I celebrated my 20th birthday! It was tons of fun surrounded by friends and family, and maybe a beverage or two ;). I purchased my second car! Which I am thankfully still driving. My Aunt got married, and I was a flower girl... gal? Overall, there have been many ups and downs in 2022. And I'm actually here to bring some good news (and some sad news.) So, here's those book updates I promised you:
          
          Sad news first.
          I will not be continuing with Tsunami or SCREAM at this time. I know there were many of you looking forward to either or both of these fics, but I have unfortunately lost all motivation for them. Hopefully, sometime in the future, inspiration will strike and I can revisit Daisy and the band as well as Cody and the demigods. Until then, an indefinite hiatus.
          
          Good news is
          I have a few very exciting WIPs going right now! More to be announced soon, but how do we feel about tragic goth girls with funeral-parlor fashion sense? How about zombie football(US) players?

I know I said I’d talk to you in the new year but!
          I’m doing some cleanup tonight! New illustrated covers for all my fanfics, what do you think? I think they turned out really cute. You guys are ready for the RIOT sequel cover ;) I’ll make an official announcement about it and a cover reveal after the new year, so look out!

          You may also notice I’ve taken Moon Princess (my The Secret of Moonacre fic) down. This is simply because I put it on hiatus awhile ago and haven’t returned to it yet. I may bring Guinevere back one day though!

LET’S CATCH UP: (long post)
          
          Hello everyone! It’s been a while, and I’m sorry for that. So much has happened over the last few months. 
          
          I attempted nanowrimo this year, and although I didn’t reach my goal I’m still very proud of how far along I got! Hopefully, that book will be up sometime in 2022. You’ll be able to read it over on my other account @loreonthefloor when I upload it. 
          
          At the end of November we lost a very dear friend to my family. We have spent the last several weeks mourning and helping his family as they go through the devastating transition. This is the main reason you haven’t seen anything new from me recently. 
          
          The other reason is I’ve started a new full time job, and haven’t had much to to write. But as I get used to the new hours, I’ll be doing my absolute best to put out more of my stories!
          
          Onto other sad news: it was announced a few days ago that Netflix has chosen NOT to pick up Julie and The Phantoms for a season two. This leaves our favorite characters at a stand still, a cliff hanger, and the fans are rightfully upset about it. Make sure to make your voice heard online, and sign any petitions you see! The Fantom is trying to get ATLEAST a movie special to resolve the cliffhanger, but we’re hoping for a different company to pick the show up!
          
          In the meantime: I will be working on a sequel to RIOT, one that hopefully provide some kind of closure and do our favorite ghosts justice. It will be rolling out slowly after the New Year, as I will also be picking back up updates for Tsunami.
