I hate the fact that most writers make the male protagonist's ex girl friend a bad person when they break up.  Like, there's nothing wrong with catching feelings for the wrong person.  Why can't she like just give up and go home. Then thermals protagonist  always suddenly starts hating her like he wasn't sleeping with her before.  But one all if a sudden she's a whore and he's disgusted by her .
