Side note: I know people are split apart over who the song is about but I personally think it’s a hybrid of both people (trigger warning and joebless) and yes, I will 100% continue to call them that because if they were truly “intelligent men” they would have treated Taylor right, and as of right now, they are both currently irrelevant to the world while Taylor is married to a 6’5 football player who can and has treated Taylor better than they ever did. ☺️

Hi everyone, I’m not actually sure who’s gonna read this but I’ve had this thought for a while now and just needed to get it out of my brain. So I was just listening to TTPD (the title track) and was thinking, yeah ratty and yogurt boy were the “tortured poetic” type but me personally, when Taylor says typewriters I don’t think she was referring to an actual typewriter but a phone instead. This ties back to all the joebless cheating rumours going on at the time and the groupchat name he had with his friends. When she says “you left your typewriter at my apartment” she could possibly be saying that “you left your phone at my apartment” now this part is just my imagination, I don’t know anything else about them and their relationship past the point of rumours but she could possibly be saying that “you left your phone at my apartment when you went out with your friends” and she could have seen the messages between joe and another girl?? Just a thought, and I also wanna talk abt the line after that which is the “i think some things I never say like ‘who uses typewriters anyway” which could also tie back to their 2016 era of their relationship, when everything went down and Taylor went off grid, now that could have potentially went into the covid era until 2023 before she started promo for the tour, so it could have been like a “who out of either of us uses their phones anymore”… just some thoughts. And I know this is very long (I’ve had this thought for a very long time) so please bear with me as I express one last thought, the “I’ve seen this episode and still love this show” line is one that I really love and one of my personal favourites because in my perspective she isn’t really talking about a series, she’s talking about a person and their episodes whether thats an explosive, ignoring or loving episode she’s saying that no matter how they act up she’ll still love them..

Thank you so much if you read this whole thing,

          with love, I
