They told her that suicide was not so much
An escape but a disaster to her life
Was so full of mind made tragedies that one day
when she felt so completely overwhelmed
She took a lift to a 20 store building
And walked along the length of the roof
To the edge where she stared straight down
And in that moment it didn't matter
Whether there were people that loved her
Or things in her future to look forward to
It was all about that moment
And her mind became very clear as
She thought of the way to end the pain
But as if luck would have it
She looked across and parallel she saw a boy
Jump and fall down so quickly
That his life went by faster than a shooting star
But there was no time for wishes
And once that moment had passed
She thought of how his family would cry
And blame the fact they hadn't
Asked him whether he was okay in a while
And she thought of how his cat
Wouldn't understand why
There was nobody around to stroke her anymore
And how his friends would be so distraught that
They would start to hurt their own bodies too
And she knew that her life
Would end much the same
And that actually
Nobody
Would be better of if she wasn't around.
